Afghan Squares

I sent two squares off to Annie this morning for the Afghan Project. The patterns come from [whisper]Nifty Knit Dishcloths[/whisper], using KnitPicks Wool of the Andes in the blue bonnet colorway, each square used about 3/4 of a skein on size 8US needles. The squares bled like a dog in heat.... like a drop-in changes the toilet water blue. Also, the yarn kinda feels "acrylicy" to me, but that's just my opinion.

Princess Tank

Pattern: Based on the Kidlet Tank pattern by Amy Boogie King

Yarn:
KnitPicks Crayon in Light Blue

Thoughts:
Because the yarn I chose for this sweater was "textured" I eliminated the ribbing in the pattern and obviously only used a single color. The sweater itself would've been a quick knit had I not gotten overly confident with my car knitting skills and if I had spent more time knitting it and less time looking at it. The yarn was a bit on the splitty side, but has machine washed up wonderfully and is so soft.

The Princess loves it.

Half Baked Goods Begins

What in the hell do I need a second blog for?

It's not really a blog, its a place to keep all the details about all my crafting and cooking adventures. I'll post finished objects, recipies and all sorts of craptacular stuff here.

Cheers!
